Thank you for your support
The start of the new term has been been a very sad one with the devastating news of Mr Jack's death over the Easter weekend. He had been a PE teacher at Claydon for 19 years and it is clear from the many messages we have received from ex-students, ex-colleagues and the wider education community that he had made a difference to many, many lives over that time.
The current school community have felt the loss very keenly this week and are taking time, individually and collectively, to remember Mr Jack and are discussing a lasting memorial which will mark his legacy to the school and its young people.
This week has been one of huge sadness for everyone who knew Mr Jack but out of the tragedy we have seen the true spirit of Claydon High School remain strong. I have been hugely proud of how our students have supported one another at this testing time and grieving staff have shown real strength in their professional approach.
Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to contact or visit the school and share their memories of Mr Jack and offer kind words and support to the school; it is difficult to express how much this has meant to us all.
