Programme of Excellence
Here at Claydon, we are always looking for opportunities to help support our students to be the best they can be. This year, we are delighted to be trialing a Programme of Excellence to encourage students, staff, parents and carers (and the wider local community) to embrace life long learning and curiosity.
Ever wondered what the difference between an ISA and a Notice Savings Account is? Curious about Renaissance Art? Would you enjoy an hour finding out about the role of the local Refugee Council? Well hopefully the Programme of Excellence can help you!
Designed as a series of mini lectures, seminars and workshops we aim to invite a broad range of expert speakers to Claydon for you to enjoy. Across the year we hope to provide events that will not only help with academic success, but to capture the imagination and broaden horizons.
If you have a specialist subject, or feel you have an area of interest you would be happy to speak about, please do contact Mrs Lovell-Brown or Miss Taverner via the school reception. We would also welcome suggestions for topics to explore.
As part of the trial we are using an online ticket system which will enable events to be booked in advance. There is no cost involved: all events will be free.
Please see below for details of our very first event below: “Introduction to the University Application System”...and watch this space for the next: “Moving towards Zero Waste”.
