Headteacher's Update
It is always a pleasure at the end of the year to review everything which has happened and to celebrate all of the successes achieved by individuals, groups and the whole community. There are too many to begin to do justice by alluding to them here but you can find detail about each half term in our school newsletter, available on our website.
I am always hugely grateful to the staff who give up their time to organise extra-curricular opportunities for students and to parent/carers who support these. We are also immensely proud of our students who get involved in a range of events and many of these benefit others in a variety of ways. All of this is what creates and maintains the strong sense of community evident within the school.
As we begin the new academic year, it is an opportunity to focus on our key values and high expectations, so please do read the letter which has been sent out about our expectations regarding uniform, jewellery and phones; importantly, we do want to reduce our use of plastic moving forward so do want every child to bring a refillable water bottle every day.
All students have had an assembly about keeping themselves safe over the summer break, as well as looking out for others, and information is available on our website. We trust that everyone does have the opportunity to spend some quality family time together and that this is both happy and relaxing. We look forward to welcoming students to the first day of the academic year on Wednesday 4th September, prompt for a punctual 8.30am start.
